For the Vico Food Box team, 2022 was a year of rediscovery and great growth.
We review with you all the milestones we have achieved and wink at future wishes;
We started the year focusing on typical products and consequently increasing collaborations with local producers, proudly supporting Made in Italy. When Carnival and then Easter arrived, the whole team worked hard, setting a new record for shipments: 2,000 Vico Boxes sent in a single day. A record which, spoiler, we surpassed ahead of another event. Typical products were confirmed to be the most sought after and desired abroad.
We no longer speak only to Italians abroad. During the year, we have noticed that more and more admirers of Italian cuisine support us. So we translated the website into three languages: German, English and Dutch.
Here comes our anniversary: 3 years of Vico Food Box. The milestone has helped us look back on our achievements and focus on future ones. The Vico Team grows, changes, but above all learns new skills and systems that help to improve the work.
The last four months are time for milestones: we participated 4eCom and won the 4eCom award for Best Packaging. With the joy of the milestone achieved, the team prepared for the most important season of the year: Black Friday and Christmas.
Networking has also grown, and Vico Food Box has managed to carve out an important space for itself. In addition, the pink quota in the company has increased and Debora Celentano our co-founder has been included among the 1,000 women who are changing Italy by StartupItalia.
We have come to the end of the year and have been preparing to reap the fruits of what we have sown throughout the year. Black Friday was dizzying and in three days of deals we broke the sales record set at Easter.
Over Christmas, the community grew and Vico Boxes filled the homes of Vico Lovers, bringing the atmosphere of Italian Christmas abroad. Thanks to this hard work, we ended the year ranked 37th in the Casaleggio Associati ranking of the best Italian e-commerce in the food sector.
What now? Now we get ready to recharge our batteries during the Christmas dinner! Then we will leave regenerated and energized, opening 2023 with the desire to achieve many exciting goals. Enthusiasm is certainly not lacking 😉
