Jefferson Amaro Mignon – 5 cl

Jefferson is an extraordinary artisanal liqueur, carefully selected and produced at the Vecchio Magazzino Doganale. Its creation is the result of an unparalleled dedication to the quality and authenticity of the ingredients used. Most of the botanicals used, including the prestigious PGI lemons from Rocca Imperiale, the sweet and bitter oranges from Bisignano, the bergamots from Pellaro, the oregano from Palombara and the rosemary from Bisignano, are collected and selected by hand, thus guaranteeing a very high quality raw material.

These precious botanicals are then processed separately, through a hydroalcoholic infusion process that respects the raw material and seasonality. Jefferson spends more than 11 months assembling, without using artificial flavors or colors. The liquor is filtered using a linen cloth, thus imparting extraordinary purity and clarity to the final product.

The story of Jefferson, the captain of a ship wrecked in Calabria in 1871 who found shelter in the Old Customs Warehouse and created what he called an “Important Amaro”, is a tribute to tradition and the passion for creating excellent liqueurs. This recipe has been adapted and transformed to make it extraordinary today, offering a liqueur that has won prestigious awards, such as the title of best liqueur in the world at the World Liqueur Awards in 2018.

Jefferson is ideal to enjoy chilled or with ice, but it also reveals all its complexity and versatility in mixes such as bitters or as a support for vermouths.
