Its delicate bouquet offers a variety of nuances, from notes of gooseberry to the scents of white flowers, passing through hints of aromatic herbs and sensations of flint. The sip is characterized by an energetic freshness, with a good palatal aroma, a mouthfeel rich in ripe fruit and a lively and pleasant finish. An authentic hymn to the mountains!
Hofstatter’s Sauvignon Michei is produced in Martin Foradori’s new Trentino estate, located above Ala and surrounded by approximately ten hectares of vineyards with great qualitative potential. This farm has vineyards grown at an altitude above 800 meters above sea level, on mixed soils of clay, porphyry, gravel and lime, giving the wine a natural minerality in the final sip. The cool climate and the significant temperature changes between day and night favor a slow ripening of the grapes, enriching them with aromatic finesse. After the harvest, there is a maceration on the skins for about 8 hours, followed by a very soft pressing. The must ferments and matures in steel tanks for a few months before being marketed.
Hofstatter’s Sauvignon Michei represents a streamlined and refined version of this famous international grape variety, highlighting the typical fresh and mineral profile characteristic of mountain wines. In the glass, it has a light yellow color and greenish reflections. Its aromatic bouquet expresses notes of elderberry, nettle, aromatic herbs and aromas of gooseberry, with mineral nuances of flint. The entry into the mouth is vibrant, with a rich and intense center of the mouth, followed by a finish of great freshness and persistence.
