The company Sapori created a new version dedicated to Queen Margherita of Savoy in anticipation of her visit to Siena, thus giving birth to Sapori Panforte Margherita: a soft baked cake with whole almonds, orange peel, candied melon, and citron. During the preparation, the dough is always hand-rolled to ensure the authenticity of the taste.
