Gianduia cake is a traditional Italian dessert that takes its name from the famous hazelnut and chocolate cream typical of the Piedmont region, called Gianduja or Gianduia. This cake has a soft base, similar to that of a chocolate cake, enriched with hazelnut flour and cocoa, and is filled and covered with a chocolate and hazelnut cream. It is a much loved dessert in Italy, particularly in the northern regions, where the combination of chocolate and hazelnuts is a real delight for the palate.
