Narrative label
The history of this variety dates back to the early 1900s when Nazareno Strampelli started some experimental trials on the fields made available by the marquis Cappelli, obtaining the so-called ‘selected seeds,’ including the Cappelli.
All the harvest, under the coordination of our Mediterre.bio partner, is traced and controlled until it is processed by our Molino De Vita partner. In a green area, away from major communication routes, the mill transforms the wheat into semolina using advanced technologies and low-speed grinding cylinders that preserve the grain’s qualities as much as possible. Finally, the semolina travels to Trentino where the spring water from the Alps meets the expertise of the Felicetti pasta makers, also partners of Alce Nero, giving life to a 100% Italian, organic pasta guaranteed by the Alce Nero Group partners.
