Cornstarch is a valuable ingredient to give softness and lightness to your desserts. Desserts made with Maizena cornstarch acquire, in addition to a fluffy texture, a very delicate taste that cannot be achieved with the use of other flours alone.
Maizena cornstarch is also an ideal ingredient for thickening sauces, stews, braises, and soups in just a few minutes; its neutral taste does not overpower the characteristic flavor of the foods.
For easier dosing: 1 level tablespoon of Maizena corresponds to 10g of product.

Cakes and desserts
Use half the amount of Maizena cornstarch and half the amount of flour (for particularly fluffy desserts, use two-thirds Maizena cornstarch and one-third flour).
Puddings and creams
Replace the amount of flour required by the recipe with the same amount of Maizena cornstarch.
Sauces, stews, and soups
Sauces and stews: dissolve one level tablespoon of Maizena cornstarch in 50 ml of cold liquid (water, milk, or broth) to thicken about 200g of sauce.
Soups: dissolve one level tablespoon of Maizena cornstarch in 50 ml of water to thicken about 500g of the mixture.
Maizena cornstarch should be added only at the end of the cooking process.
Do not prolong cooking as Maizena cornstarch only needs a few minutes.
Store in a cool and dry place.
