1973 is the year of the birth of Pomilia: two brothers, Gerardo and Antonio Salzano founded what would become much more than a family business. The first factory, of 10,000 m2, produces peeled tomatoes, legumes, vegetables, fruit and canned mushrooms (Italian).
In 1977 new products were added: Mediterranean Tomatoes and Tomato Pulp. In 1978 the “red line” range was completed with the production of Tomato Passata.
In 2007, with the acquisition of Galmond, the production plant reached its current size of 37,000 m2. These are the years in which Pomilia began marketing seed oils (peanut, sunflower, corn and soybean oil) under the Olé brand and, finally, in 2008 completed the range with extra virgin olive oil.
Today, the sons of the founders are at the helm of the Pomilia company and they renew the commitment made 40 years ago: to bring high quality products to the table of consumers.
