Snack Misura

Discover the surprising taste of well-being by Misura: unique recipes, selected ingredients and a world of products designed to accompany every moment of your day.

Biscuits, plumcake and the Privolat line

In 1974, in an Italy still largely unaware of the concept of healthy eating, Misura was born. Not as a simple health-food brand, but as a truly pioneering vision: bringing products to the table that combined the pleasure of taste with nutritional quality. At a time dominated by plain rusks and personality-free dry biscuits, broke the rules and created a new idea of food well-being. Its evolution over the years has been marked by key milestones: from the acquisition by the Colussi Group in 1996, which enhanced its manufacturing vocation, to the profound transformation of 2024, when it shifted from being a “free-from” brand to a lifestyle brand of “with”: with flavor, with pleasure, with care for the planet. More than fifty years after its foundation is today a complete ecosystem of daily well-being, a familiar presence able to adapt to new dietary needs without ever losing the authentic soul of its origins.

Food offerings are the result of constant research between nutritional innovation and the desire for goodness. Among the most iconic products, the biscuits are one of the most popular options for those who want to start the day with balance. In particular, the sugar-free biscuits have won over even the most demanding palates thanks to a recipe that excludes added sugars without sacrificing taste. For those who prefer a soft yet light snack, the plumcakes offer a combination of fluffiness and lightness, perfect also for moments of relaxation. Another much-loved line is Privolat, designed for those with specific nutritional needs who want to avoid milk without giving up sweetness. And for those more focused on protein intake, the protein biscuits combine selected flours and a nutritional mix designed to support even the most intense days.

Journey is also made of responsible and forward-looking choices. As early as 2019, the company decided to use exclusively electricity from renewable sources, reducing direct emissions per ton of product by 13%. Its commitment to sustainability also translates into concrete solutions such as FSC certification on 91% of paper packaging, and a significant reduction in the use of plastic: in 2024 alone, the impact was reduced by 195 tons compared to 2022. On the production side, the controlled Italian supply chain covers almost 7,000 hectares of crops, and a digital system allows farmers to monitor environmental impact in real time. With a focus on biodiversity and innovation, has even launched experimental projects monitoring pollinating insects through smart sensors. All of this is reflected in the quality and reliability of products born from an entire vision, not just a recipe.

Products naturally lend themselves to different moments of the day. They can accompany a coffee break at the office or at home, or be enjoyed with an infusion in the afternoon, perhaps to accompany a tea with aromatic flavors. At the same time, their nutritional profile makes them ideal for those seeking balanced alternatives in their daily food choices. Lines such as Fibrextra, Dolcesenza, Multigrain, Privolat, Protein, and Naturicca cater to different needs: those looking for fiber, those wanting to limit sugar, or those following a plant-based diet. It’s not uncommon to find them in the pantries of people with structured eating routines, but also in those of people who simply want to enjoy something good, without compromise.

A distinctive element in history is its communication approach. In the 1980s, the brand created iconic TV commercials, such as the one where a wholemeal biscuit “looks for” a cup of tea to create a healthy exchange of flavors. A narrative that, even back then, connected taste with well-being. But it was in 2024 that the real turning point in communication came: the campaign “So good you won’t believe it” shows ordinary people tasting the products without knowing they are Misura, reacting with surprise and disbelief. A total reversal of the clichés surrounding healthy food. This choice of authentic and emotional communication perfectly aligns with the brand’s new positioning, which no longer wants to be just “correct,” but also surprising, lively, and fulfilling.

There’s a little-known curiosity that reveals much about soul: the company collaborated with visual artists and design studios for the packaging redesign. Illustrations by Nora Studio and photos by Food Pirate Studios helped create packaging that tells stories of experiences, emotions, and identity. Packaging is no longer just a container but becomes an integral part of the experience. It was also one of the first Italian brands to test compostable packaging for some shelf products, with wrappers that, after composting, turn into natural fertilizers. A small yet important step that unites aesthetics, ethics, and functionality.

Today, represents something more than a brand: it is a way of living and interpreting food. In a market increasingly polarized between health excesses and hyper-industrialized offerings, maintains a balanced position. It makes it possible to live daily life with lightness, without extremes, welcoming with taste those who seek balance between nutrition and pleasure. From breakfast to snacks, from regenerating breaks to shared treats, each product is designed to fit real life—made up of work, family, unexpected events, and the desire for accessible well-being. A brand that knows how to renew itself without losing its roots, and that continues to write every day a story of taste, quality, and awareness.
