Always present in Italian kitchens, brings to the table authentic flavors, familiar aromas, and recipes that tell stories of tradition, innovation, and a passion for good food.

Broth, Ragù, Sogni d’oro and Tea: icons of taste since 1948

Born in the heart of Brianza in 1948, Star has spanned over seventy years of Italian history, evolving from a small local business into a national symbol of ready-to-use, accessible cuisine. The brand was founded on the intuition of Regolo Fossati, who, with entrepreneurial spirit and attention to the needs of post-war families, created an innovative product for the time: the stock cube. Since then, the brand  has become a daily presence in Italian kitchens, growing alongside generations of families, adapting to new dietary trends while always preserving its connection to culinary tradition. The main plant is located in Agrate Brianza, one of the most important production hubs in the Italian food sector, where quality, safety, and innovation come together every day.

Today, offers a wide range of products that simplify the preparation of typical Italian dishes without sacrificing authentic flavor. Broth, available in classic, vegetable, or special versions, is one of the essential ingredients to enhance flavors and give body to risottos, soups, and traditional hot dishes. The stock cube remains an indispensable ally in the kitchen: just dissolve it in hot water or use it directly during cooking to enrich any preparation. It’s easy and immediate to use, and the aromatic result recalls traditional homemade preparations. Another cornerstone of the offering is Star’s ragù, available in various versions inspired by typical regional recipes. The ragù that accompanies pasta is a perfect example of how tradition and modern practicality can coexist, especially when choosing formats that enhance the sauce, as also described by exploring the most famous types of pasta and their uses in the kitchen. In just a few minutes, you can prepare a complete, balanced, and tasty dish, ideal for a daily lunch or a shared meal.

The product lines dedicated to hot beverages, such as Tea and Sogni d’oro, offer infusions, chamomile teas, and teas that stand out for their natural aroma and the care taken in selecting herbs. These lines were created with the aim of offering Italian families a moment of daily well-being, linked not only to nutrition but also to relaxation. In particular, the Sogni d’oro line was developed in the 1970s to respond to the growing interest in herbal and functional products, introducing herbal teas and chamomile designed to promote sleep and overall well-being. Tea, on the other hand, represents the Italian response to the tea tradition, reinterpreted with flavors more suited to local habits and offered in an accessible format for everyone. These beverages fit perfectly into daily routines, becoming stars of breakfast or afternoon snack time, especially when paired with biscuits or sweet snacks.

A historical curiosity tells us that in the 1950s, helped modernize packaging: instead of rigid box containers, a flexible thin foil wrapper was introduced, reducing waste and allowing for longer preservation. This simple change was later adopted by other brands, marking a significant step in the history of Italian food packaging. Today, represents a perfect balance between tradition and modernity. Its products make cooking practical without sacrificing flavor richness and the memories of family recipes.

This fusion is where its strength lies: bringing innovation in timing and methods while staying true to authentic tastes. In a world where time is often short, but the desire to eat well remains central, offers solutions that speak to everyone, from students living away from home to parents preparing dinner after a long workday. Within the high-quality food e-commerce context offered by VicoFoodBox, the presence of Star enhances the concept of accessible Italian cuisine, where every ingredient is a choice of taste, history, and identity.
