Characteristics
World Barley, also called Naked Barley or Hulless Barley, is a minor cereal that is very useful for maintaining biodiversity. The grain of this variety is easily separated from the glumes through threshing and can therefore be used whole. Different cultivars are used based on the sowing period, the sowing location (plain, mountain, or seaside), and the type of soil.

100% Italian barley, mainly cultivated in hilly areas of Marche.
Cultivation
According to organic regulations, no synthetic treatment is applied and only organic fertilizers are used to avoid soil depletion and water pollution. The produced barley is sown using rotation methods to preserve the land and harvested using conventional mechanical threshing.
Processing
The product is toasted using a gas toaster with a gradual temperature increase.

Usage tips
For preparation with a moka pot: fill the filter without pressing. For preparation with a barley pot: use two/three teaspoons of barley per cup of beverage. Suitable grinding for moka pots and filters.
