Panforte comes from an ancient Sienese dessert called "panmelato". The original recipe was embellished when the "apothecaries", ancient pharmacists, added valuable ingredients from the East. Pistachio Panforte is a delicious variant of the classic, with an unmistakable scent. The tasty taste of whole pistachios meets the sweetness of almonds to give life to a unique dough, still rolled out by hand today.
